V/H/S 3 or VHS Viral: Review

Please don't waste your time on this film. I debated writing this review, because it gave the film incredibly more thought than the writers/directors. This is just a poor addition to a series that at its worse was spotty and confusing but at it's best, it was an exercise of creativity. The found footage horror genre has been done to death. Writers are reaching to find ways to make it relevant.

VHS and VHS 2 had some interesting stories that followed some kind of madness. A creepy house full of creepy outdated VHS tapes that end of paralyzing or 'eating' its viewers. Interesting premise that gets tossed out the window in this sequel.

The stories in this sequel just don't follow the blueprint of any of the previous films. I'd forgive the departure if the stories were noteworthy. Hint: they weren't. They tried to connect a series of unexplained events with an over arching theme, and because of this the stories were even harder to follow than their predecessors.

Skip this at all cost. Instead, Paypal me whatever you would've spent watching this hogwash.

It's currently available for viewing or purchase on most VOD sites.
